There are currently opportunities to volunteer in the Rea Brook Valley LNR, co-ordinated by Shrewsbury Town Council Countryside Unit.

Covid restrictions have made it challenging to meet up since the group was formed in 2020 but with the lifting of restriction it is hoped to offer opportunities to volunteer:

  •  with the upkeep of the nature reserve

  • to assist with running of the Group

  • with the delivery of workshops and events

  •  administration

  •  Getting involved in Nature - it's really good for your wellbeing

  •  Fresh air and Exercise

  •  Meeting new people

  • Giving something back, helping to develop and look after this green space for the local community

  • A chance to learn new skills

  • Discover the flora and fauna living in the various habitats on the Reserve and learn about the history  and evolution of the Brook

Our volunteer litter- pick co-ordinator was the wonderful Daisy May Harris.  She organised a litter-pick on a monthly basis and posted the details on our Facebook page.  Earlier this year Daisy moved to Cornwall (link video) If you are interested in co-ordinating or litter-picking please get in touch via email ….. .  Daisy said that she would be happy to answer queries directly

                                 Everybody welcome!
